Overview

The Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a highly organized professional with excellent attention to detail to join our finance department to support the accounts receivable and accounts payable team in processing daily transactions associated with receipting revenue, scanning checks, refunds, and processing invoices for payment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, contribute, and communicate effectively in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently. Work experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, VISION (the State's Oracle-based accounting system), and strong Excel skills are preferred.

This hybrid position offers three remote days per week and two office days. It is located at the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles in Montpelier.

Overview

The Motor Vehicle Direct Client Service Specialist will interact with a diverse population to process various motor vehicle related transactions in a high traffic, fast paced, office while maintaining excellent customer service. Work involves reviewing, verifying, and processing applications from customers for vehicle registrations or licensing, titles, tax payments, driver licenses/permits, non-driver identification cards, disabled parking placards, plates, etc. The position will perform various types of monetary transactions while maintaining accuracy, control, and minimal errors. Additionally, the incumbent will perform daily tasks using modern office practices and equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, point of sale systems, etc., and associated software. Associated skills with this technology such as typing, using search engines, emailing, troubleshooting, etc. is required.

This is a full-time limited-service position and work will take place within the Rutland DMV office.
